Fuel Gas Service Tech - Western


Overview Seeking a Customer Service Technician who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing propylene tanks. The tech must professionally interact with project manager, sales, customers, contractors, engineers and inspectors regarding tanks at the customer and company owned sites. Technician hours are 8 - 12 hour days. Must be an organized self starter and effectively plan their weeks work. Training will be on the job, with some office training to cover SOPs. We require our employee's to be team players and safety is part of our everyday culture. Candidate must be able to learn and think on their feet. Requires basic computer proficiency including but not limited to; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, internet searches, handheld data entry devices and usage of GPS device. Job includes safely operating a company service truck in all types of weather. Responsibilities Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record (CDL preferred but not required). • Job will require travel (85% 2 to 3 weeks at a time) Must be accountable and self-driven to learn, and to continuously develop and improve skills through both formalized and on-the-job training. Must be willing and able to perform essential functions of this position maintenance and repair of equipment in an outdoor environment under variables such as in-climate weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, wind and precipitation), variable heights. Able to demonstrate, through previous job experience, training, and activities, his or her ability to understand the operation of and repair of various mechanical and technical equipment or systems. Must be able to quickly learn and become proficient with new skills, technologies, procedures and processes. • Requires frequently performing activities including, but not limited to, stooping, bending, crawling, kneeling, grasping, reaching, climbing and lifting objects up to 100 pounds (e.g. lifting and installing meters). • Follow procedures and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner. Must assess all equipment operation and failures (troubleshooting). Must perform regular preventive maintenance of all equipment. Must maintain upstanding relationship with all facilities. Must be able to effectively communicate with facility staff, facility management, and customers. • Must be able to accurately maintain inventory levels in Service Vehicle. Must be flexible for emergency situations or after hours service calls. Must be punctual. Must provide accurate and detailed reports to manager regarding all field service work (written and oral). • Must be responsible for the standard maintenance and upkeep of all issued equipment and service vehicle.
